Our Dream
Our dream is to build a permanent school for the children that need it most. A place where the children will be educated, a place where they will be fed, a place where they will be safe
Our dream is to replace the iron sheets walls and roofs of our current school by stones and concrete.
We want to build education facilities that are child and gender sensitive and to provide safe, non-violent, inclusive and effective learning environments for all.
We want to provide to these kids the best condition possible so they can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in life and break the vicious cycle of poverty.
Our school will be build on 500m2 in the heart of Mathare Kosovo where the school is currently operating.
The school will have basic premises such as :
- 11 Classrooms (8*6m) to accomodate Baby Class to Grade 8.
- One Kitchen to prepare food for 350 people, twice a day.
- One Director Office including Archives
- One Staff Room
- Toilets Infrastructures
- A playground
- Storage & Garbages area
We have started working with architects and engineers on the best design to make a child friendly environment taking into account the environment challenges.
To be able to make this dream comes true, 350 Keuro is necessary.
We are aware that we have a long way to go with this project. But we also know that if many give a little, then this deserving dream can become an impactful reality.
